Effective December 31, 2026, Providence will no longer offer their PERS Providence Medicare Advantage plans. Your current Providence Medicare Advantage plan coverage through PHIP will continue through the end of 2026 without interruption.
We believe it is crucial to inform you promptly about any major changes to PHIP. Please be aware that it is early in the year, and we are actively working towards selecting a comparable plan from our remaining Contracted Health Plans (CHP) to ensure a seamless transition for members affected. Once this is determined, you will receive notification and further information for the 2027 plan year.
There are no changes to your PHIP enrollment for the remainder of 2026:
- If you are currently eligible and are receiving the RHIA premium subsidy, your RHIA premium subsidy will continue if you maintain enrollment in a PHIP-sponsored medical plan.
- If you are currently enrolled in a PHIP dental plan your dental plan will not change.
- Your current payment method will remain in effect and will reflect the new premium amount January 1, 2027
To prepare for the 2027 plan year, we highly encourage you to attend a Plan Change presentation in your area to learn more about PHIP’s plans in your service area. The Plan Change presentation schedule will be posted here by August 31, 2026.
