Update regarding UnitedHealthcare’s network

The PERS Health Insurance Program (PHIP) was recently notified that Providence’s hospitals and providers in Oregon and Washington will no longer be in UnitedHealthcare’s network for members enrolled in the PHIP UnitedHealthcare Group Medicare Advantage PPO plan, effective January 1, 2027.

Updated October 26, 2026: Additionally, The Portland Clinic has announced it will not see PHIP UnitedHealthcare members effective January 1, 2027 – this includes out-of-network care.

To help ensure uninterrupted access to care, we are notifying members before PHIP’s Annual Plan Change period ends that Providence will no longer be in-network.

If you choose to remain in the PHIP UnitedHealthcare plan

If you wish to stay enrolled in the PHIP UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage Group PPO plan please refer to the following alternate providers.
